Position Summary

The Operations Specialist for Strategic Accounts is a key member of the Account Operations team that optimizes the operational performance of a portfolio of accounts at Wheel. 

This is a highly analytical and operational role that supports a business unit that has direct influence on decisions we make on how to run our business. 

You will participate in developing processes and procedures that will have an impact on how we grow supply, manage spend, drive KPIs, and influence the overall performance of our accounts as we deliver on company objectives. 

This role is reserved for those passionate about owning a book of business, engaging with internal stakeholders and influencing key decision makers across varying departments.

As part of this team you run the day-to-day of Wheel and collaborate with different stakeholders like Sales, Account Management, Central Operations, Finance, Product, and more.


  • New Account Growth:
      • Use data and qualitative insights to drive decision making on the strategy of new account growth. 
  • Supply Growth: 
      • Defines supply growth targets based on new and existing account growth. 
      • Help manage and innovate across our onboarding funnels.
      • Communicate with clinicians to take on feedback, drive supply satisfaction, and address key problems in our marketplace.
  • Account Management: 
      • Actively monitors and troubleshoots strategic account plans to meet desired business goals. 
      • Produce data and insights to help drive MBRs and other readouts to drive visibility and alignment across the organization. 
      • Help to translate business performance to client facing soundbites and strategies that facilitate conversations with the client.
  • Marketplace Performance
    • Advises and participates in innovation on scaled marketplace initiatives (routing, incentives, scheduling, monitoring) in partnership with Central Operations.
    • Performs experiments to understand marketplace behavior at small scale, collects data and works with Central Operations to roll those out more broadly.
    • Drives our understanding and action items to continuously improve the marketplace and account operations. Acts as the strategic arm within the group to make decisions and execution of specific levers to run accounts. 


  • 2-4 years of experience 
  • Highly analytical with outstanding data skills - well versed in Google Sheets / Excel
    • Comfort and experience with SQL and/or BI tools are encouraged.
    • Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, R, etc are nice to have, but not required.
  • Adaptable self-starter comfortable working in a startup where things move at lightning speed.
  • Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders to drive business outcomes.
