Job Summary

Wheel believes in building groundbreaking processes enabled by technology.  As a Credentialing Specialist you will play a key role in the growth of the company by building and maintaining the highest standard credentialing processes and procedures. From defining our credentialing process to directly interfacing with our clinical and operations team, you’ll be fundamental to our success. You will be responsible for defining and owning  Wheel’s Credentialing process in compliance with all Federal, State, Health Plan, and NCQA Standards.


Build Credentialing Processes: Design, build, and maintain all of Wheel’s credentialing processes.

Manage all Credentialing Files: Manage internal and external new credentialing files, obtaining and evaluating primary source verification of provider credentials, maintaining currency of expired verification, and ensuring the completeness of a file to perform verification of credentials.

Communicate with Clinicians and Clients: Be a first-line communicator with clinicians, healthcare entities, external verification sources and services, and internal teams..

Maintain Data Integrity: Maintaining a current and accurate, system-wide data repository for provider information. This includes establishing and updating provider profiles within our database.

Credentialing Compliance: You will maintain all of our credentialing compliance procedures and audit processes across the organization. 

Skills & Qualifications

-3+ Years of Relevant Credentialing Experience (i.e Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers)
-Familiarity with NCQA credentialing policies and procedures and delegated credentialing
-Clear communicator with excellent attention to detail, organization, and prioritization skills
-Ability to handle large volume pipelines with ease and professionalism 
-Adaptable self-starter comfortable working in a startup where things move at lightning speed
-Professional Experience utilizing tools Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs,), Airtable, Adobe
-Experience credentialing providers for Telemedicine preferred, but not mandatoryAssociates Degree (Bachelors preferred)
