Education: First, you must successfully complete the necessary education to earn a valid registered nurse (RN) license in Hawaii. Certification: Applicants must hold nurse practitioner certification from an approved certifying body.
Fee: Applicants must pay a $126 fee on even-numbered years, and a $194 fee on odd-numbered years.
Any required fieldwork, degrees, fees, and examinations may vary depending on if you want prescriptive authority and your specialization. They include (but are not limited to) family nurse practitioner (FNP), pediatric primary care nurse practitioner, and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP).
